Four independent companiesOne Southern Illinois work ethic

Steven + Stephanie Tanner

Local ownership with a bigger appetite for hard problems.

The A&I companies grew from an electrical contractor founded in 1998 into a group of distinct businesses serving the people who build, maintain, repair, and power Southern Illinois.

The beginning

Agricultural and industrial—A&I.

The name came directly from the original work: agricultural and industrial electrical service. Over time, the company’s capability expanded across residential, commercial, controls, utility, high voltage, solar, and unusual field conditions.

A new generation

Steven and Stephanie Tanner.

Today, Steven and Stephanie own the companies and lead with a team behind them: sales, safety, logistics, field operations, and finance. The goal is simple—give every customer a capable, accountable team.

Built around local needs

Four companies, each with a clear job.

A&I Supply & Rental sells products and rents equipment. A&I Electrical performs electrical and energy work. FuelWrench takes tools to professional shops. Recon gives Milwaukee customers a dedicated retail destination.

Behind the work

Serious about the job. Still human about the day.

A family-owned group is built by people who know one another, solve problems together, and keep a sense of humor when the work gets demanding.

Some team meetings are more productive than others.

What stays the same

The standard travels across every company.

01

Know the work

Real product knowledge and real field experience.

02

Own the outcome

A clear point of responsibility from start to finish.

03

Stay local

We live here, shop here, hire here, and raise families here.
